When you select a more free hosting Tuesday, April 7, 2009

With this concept there are no fees for hosting or the domain name, registration is easy and quick, and absolutely free. So what's the catch? How can they just offer this for free with no banner ads to pay the bills?
The reality here is that you get these things free but your limited on bandwidth, and disk space. For a basic site, including a business site this is a great way to get going absolutely free. Their hopes are that as you start to see success, more traffic to your site, and need to expand to a real hosting package, that you will upgrade to their economical paid packages.

They bank on the idea that by giving away free domain and hosting you will get comfortable using the service and they build customer loyalty. Why would you go elsewhere when you can just upgrade and not have to move or change anything? For many the free account is enough to get their financial ball rolling and once the site generates some coin, paying for a better hosting package is like rolling their profits- that cost them nothing to acquire in the first place- into an upgrade. People, grateful for the charity and chance to generate income without wagering anything first, will gladly opt to use them for their upgrade needs.
